About Me
Hello, my name is Courteney Sykes, but you can call me Court. I’m a Florida native who enjoys writing, reading, and exploring new places. In 2021, I moved to Atlanta to attend Clark Atlanta University, where I’m pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in public relations.

As the current president of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) at CAU, I've honed my skills in leadership and communications. I’ve been instrumental in transforming our organization into a student-run PR firm, Panther Communications, where we offer services like graphic design, event planning, and content creation. This role has allowed me to leverage my creativity and organizational skills to drive impactful projects and foster meaningful relationships with clients.

My background includes working with both small and large companies in social media marketing, external communications, and project management. My experience has strengthened my leadership abilities, refined my organizational skills, and enhanced my capacity for effective interpersonal communication.

My early years were marked by a strong sense of leadership and creativity, which naturally led me to a career as a communications professional. I’m passionate about visual design and developing innovative ideas to elevate brands. My journey reflects a commitment to using my skills and experiences to make a positive impact in the field of public relations and beyond.
